July always feels like the peak of summer, being right smack in the middle between June and August. I'm planted right where I should be on a lazy summer afternnoon; on my back porch swing next to the kiddie/dog pool. There is nothing better when I'm in need of a little relaxation than listening to a warm and fuzzy story on audio. When the world feels a little too big and a tad bit sad, I love how a good, sweet story can fill me with peace and hope. Happy Snowy Winter!!
Happy New Year to my friends and readers!
As we find ourselves in holiday recovery mode ( yes, I ate everything in sight, and my house still looks like a tornado hit), I thought I'd take you for a tour of the little Bavarian town I just spent my birthday in. Surprisingly, I did not have to fly across oceans to get here. Leavenworth, Washington is actually a replica of a small Bavarian town in the Swiss Alps....right here in Eastern Washington.

There's nothing better than sitting on a beach with sand between your toes and a good book in your hand. But sometimes, I have to settle for my own back yard. It takes some imagination, but filling the kiddie pool and pulling up a comfortable deck chair helps to get you started. Then find a story that will take you to your happy place and dream away!

If you're like me, my reading selections change with the seasons and holidays. I'm easily influenced visually. When the first snow comes, I have to either read or write a holiday story.
